The Film

Ride and Documentary Summary

Charging Life LLC founding member Todd Alan, will be challenging himself and others, to get out, get involved, see the world around them and get challenging Life. Alan will ride a 2400+ bike route that takes him from his start at Washington State’s city of Blaine on the Canadian border to the Arizona Border town of Nogales. Alan’s goal is to raise money and awareness for both Charity Water and The Life Book, along with distributing 20,000 Life Books to teens and homeless.

“The ride isn’t about me; Its about God first, the stories of people along the way, the charities we’re working with and the documentaries we’re filming along the way…” He continues, “which we hope, when everything is finished, will be an amazing inspiration to people.” Todd Alan, who volunteered to do the ride has been training since October of 2011 to get physically and mentally prepared for the trip and the series of short documentaries being recorded along the route.

“The goal of the documentaries is to show ‘One guy on a mountain bike, highlighting the needs of those charities in the local communities and capture moments of inspiration, and then use those inspire people at the many screenings and talks we plan to do after the ride.” says Alan.

Todd and the film crew headed by Producer Jeremiah Rounds, will stop in towns along the beautiful Pacific Northwest and California coastal part of the trip and cut across Southern California to the dry deserts of Arizona to talk to people and learn about the stories of inspiring individuals and groups who will challenge viewers of the documentary to find the inspiration to get off the couch, get outdoors and motivate people to get healthy through physical fitness and healthy eating, and discover a deeper meaning to their faith and get Charging LIFE!

Charging life is currently seeking corporate and private sponsorship to help defray the costs of the challenge.

“Our team has an extensive marketing and film background to tap. We’ve put together great promotional packages that we think will be great exposure for the sponsors of the project as our online network is vast and the pre, concurrent and post ride exposure will be huge.” says Alan. Companies and individuals are encouraged to contact Charging life about either sponsoring the ride as a financial or material sponsor as soon as possible since there are limited sponsor spots available.
