R.I.P Brenda Casten July 8, 1987 – April 4, 2012 Brenda Casten at the age of 25 lost her long battle with Cancer in April of 2012, leaving behind both an emotionally devastated husband and 3 young children, but also the fight for her life left the family with several hundred thousands of dollars in medical debt. In memory of Brenda, with her brother-in-law, Mike Casten, we’ve decided to do a day climb on June 16th of Mt. Humphrey’s in Northern Arizona, to the 12,600 ft summit to place a cross. By Mike Casten ~ Recently, my sister-in-law Brenda Casten was diagnosed with leukemia. Leukemia is cancer of the body’s blood-forming tissues, including the bone marrow and the lymphatic system. Brenda is currently undergoing chemotherapy and has a long road to recovery ahead of her. Brenda is only 24 years old and has a husband and three children that are counting on her to pull through. It breaks my heart tosee this happen to her and I would trade places with her in a heartbeat if I could. Since I cannot, I have taken it upon myself to help raise funds
