R.I.P Brenda Casten July 8, 1987 – April 4, 2012
Brenda Casten at the age of 25 lost her long battle with Cancer in April of 2012, leaving behind both an emotionally devastated husband and 3 young children, but also the fight for her life left the family with several hundred thousands of dollars in medical debt.
In memory of Brenda, with her brother-in-law, Mike Casten, we’ve decided to do a day climb on June 16th of Mt. Humphrey’s in Northern Arizona, to the 12,600 ft summit to place a cross. We will be filming the climb with GoPro cameras for a video in memory of her that will be available on vimeo.
We would love to have you be a part of the Climb for Brenda by sponsoring the hikers on their challenging journey to the summit of Mt. Humphrey’s as the encouragement and support through your contribution makes a difference.
We have a $2,000 Goal and the expenses to travel to and provide supplies to the team climbing are $300.00 ( food, travel and lodging ) All monies raised beyond what we need for the climb will go to Brenda’s family to help with the children and also towards her medical bills, and although not deductible, the family appreciates all the love and financial support you can offer.
The team consists of several members of The Charging LIFE project http://charginglife.com , Mike Casten, Kimberley Ann, Chuck Moore and more are being added daily that want to be part of this.

Brenda Casten was a huge motivator to why Charging LIFE was started November 1st, 2011 and we feel we need to do this memorial in honor of this great woman and how she worked through so many she never even met.
