“Don’t Worry What Others Think!”

One Saturday about 2 months ago, I woke up feeling like not being around anybody. I was having a low day and had a really bad complex about myself. I prayed my way through the morning asking God to help pull me through, and to teach me something through the way I was feeling about myself & my self worth down here!

That afternoon I had ran out of a few groceries & had to drive down to the little market at the bottom of the hill from my house. I wasn’t up to being around other people, but I needed those groceries. I didn’t really want to change out of my plaid pajama bottoms before I left, but also was worried what people would think of me in my pjs at the store. So I thought, it’s a cold day out… I will dress in a hooded sweatshirt and I will wear a beanie so I can sneak in get my items and sneak out without anyone noticing I was in my pajamas, or that I was there at all… So that’s what I did!!

Within 5 feet of me walking into the store, I hear this man say really loud so the whole store could hear… “Nice pajamas!” I felt my face turn 5 shades of red and saw that he had the exact same plaid pj bottoms on as I had! After I saw that I instantly knew it was God, with His funny sense of humor, teaching me a lesson about not worrying about what the world thinks! I then said to the man, “Pajamas, A.K.A. lounge pants!” We both got a good laugh and went on our way… Then I looked up to the Lord and said, “YOU! You are so funny… Thank you for teaching me not to worry about what other people think, only what you think of me!” Then I laughed & I could feel God smile down on me! After that I had a great rest of my day… I also learned how special I am to the Lord! No matter what, He loves me for me… Pajamas and all!! LOL… <;-)

Just as 1 John 2:15-17 says; “15 Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. 17 And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.” We are suppose to only worry about what pleases God… Nothing and no one else!!

God bless,
