Finding the Strength to Overcome

Many times I have just been so down I have felt like quitting. I was lost without hope or help. It is during those times that the Bible has been a lifesaver to me. I know that reading Bible verses is not always looked upon as the coolest or hippest thing to do, but in it contains very valuable lessons of life.
Throughout the years, the Bible has been a source of strength and encouragement for people. All across the world people are looking to find strength. When people face natural disasters or economic hard times, they need something to inspire and encourage them.
Where do People Go for Strength?
What is your source of strength? People find strength in family and friends, others find strength in inspirational quotes or sayings, and yet others turn to drugs or alcohol. Strength can’t be found in the bottom of a bottle of beer.
I have found the ultimate source of strength that is both time tested and has lasted centuries, the Bible! Yes the Bible has hundreds of verses that talk of how to find strength, especially in hard times. Maybe we should ask the person who created us how to get strength.
During these times of hardship and financial insecurity there is one source of strength that is always there. Give the Bible a chance. You won’t come away empty handed! It won’t let you down.
Why Do Bible Verses Offer People Strength?
The Bible has lasted for thousands of years. It is the all-time world best seller. Why is the Bible treasured and used as a resource even today? The reason people find strength in the Bible is because it is filled with examples of other people overcoming hardship and difficulties.. Because of this there are many Bible verses about strength in its pages.
There are both heroes and villians in the Bible. It is filled with victories and defeats, and many a soul has found inspiration and strength within it. It is filled with quotes such as “trust in the Lord” and “Be bold and be strong for the Lord is with you”. How comforting those words must be to those that are struggling with finances or who maybe have lost all they have? Wouldn’t you find strength in sayings such as that?
